Mystic Valley Regional Charter School Parent Teacher Organization
Our Mission:
To enhance the educational experience of students at MVRCS by subsidizing instructive enrichment programs conducted in cooperation with teaching staff; to provide financial support for field trips and other student group activities; and to foster a sense of community and cooperation among a diverse student body by sponsoring social gatherings and events aimed at bringing students, parents, and teachers together.
As a parent teachers organization, we are committed to supporting parents, caregivers, and guardians. From helping navigate school policies and communication, to organizing meetups and social events, to bringing relevant speakers to talk with parents, caregivers, and guardians on a variety of topics…the PTO’s mission is to help inform and build community among our families.
In addition to offering competitive scholarships, the MVRCS PTO is dedicated to providing our students with enriching and supplemental programs that add to the already robust education provided at our school. Through a variety of fundraising efforts, the PTO is committed to fully supporting or subsidizing this programming in order to serve a wide cross section of the K-12 student population.
Students will enjoy activities ranging from Fitness and Health, Art and Music, STEM and Languages, all researched and vetted by the PTO Leadership Team.
The Sunshine Committee is a small group of MV teachers dedicated to providing appreciation gifts and birthday cards to the staff throughout the year. The PTO supports the Sunshine Committee through volunteerism and financial commitments.
In addition, the PTO is involved with the annual teacher appreciation luncheon and creates the Welcome Back to School gifts at the start of the school year.
